These “terms & conditions” / terms govern your participation in the conference and use of related digital platforms, ensuring a smooth, lawful, and secure experience for all users.

Welcome to SecretCon! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your participation in our conference (the “Event”), as well as your use of any SecretCon-related websites, mobile apps, social media groups, or other digital platforms (collectively, the “Platforms”). By registering for or attending the Event, or by accessing or using the Platforms, contacting the organizers, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not attend the Event or use the Platforms. If you are even able to contact us, you are likely falling under these terms.
1.1 Binding Agreement
By attending SecretCon or using the Platforms in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, as well as any related policies (including but not limited to our Code of Conduct, Anti-Harassment Policy, and Commitment to Diversity).
1.2 Modifications
SecretCon reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Platforms or otherwise notifying you. Your continued attendance or use of the Platforms after any such modification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We may not even notify you about these changes, so check here often.
2.1 Eligibility
You must be of legal age to enter into a binding contract or have the consent of a parent or guardian if you are a minor, according to local laws and regulations. SecretCon reserves the right to deny registration or entry to any individual at its sole discretion. If we are unaware of your eligibility and you know your eligibility is in question, please remove yourself from the event or platforms of SecretCon.
2.2 Badge and Admission
2.3 Banned Individuals or Companies
SecretCon maintains a banned list of individuals or companies due to severe violations of our policies. If you or your affiliated organization are placed on this list, you will not be granted access to the Event or the Platforms.
2.4 Conduct
All attendees must abide by SecretCon’s policies, such as the Code of Conduct, Anti-Harassment Policy, but also the other rules found on the SecretCon policy website and any venue rules. Failure to comply may result in removal from the Event without a refund and potential legal action if warranted.
3.1 Account Creation
Certain areas of our Platforms may require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. We also can’t guarantee those credentials may be compromised, so use a unique username and password and don’t share ANYTHING you don’t want lost.

You may post, upload, or otherwise contribute content (e.g., forum posts, comments, images) on our Platforms. You share any ownership rights to your content with SecretCon, and you grant SecretCon a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with the Platforms and promotional materials.
4.1 SecretCon Materials
All SecretCon branding, logos, designs, and content provided by SecretCon are the sole property of SecretCon or its licensors. You may not use these materials without prior written permission from SecretCon, except as part of fair use or as otherwise permitted by law. This includes the name, our symbols or logos, and other content originally found with SecretCon.
4.2 Third-Party IP
SecretCon may display or reference third-party names, logos, products, or services. All third-party intellectual property belongs to its respective owners, and nothing in these Terms grants you the right to use such property without explicit permission. We probably have a contract covering that.
5.1 Personal Data
SecretCon may collect and process personal information (e.g., name, email, payment details) for registration, security, marketing, and administrative purposes. Your information is handled according to our privacy policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
5.2 Photography and Recording
By attending the Event, you acknowledge that SecretCon or its authorized representatives may photograph or record you during sessions or activities. SecretCon may use and distribute such media for promotional, educational, or other lawful purposes without additional consent or compensation.
6.1 Venue Rules
You agree to follow all safety protocols and venue policies. This includes, but is not limited to, fire codes, emergency procedures, and any health guidelines required by local authorities or the venue.
6.2 Prohibited Items
SecretCon or the Venue may maintain a list of prohibited items (e.g., weapons, controlled substances). Any attendee found in possession of prohibited items may be removed from the Event without refund and the police could be called.
6.3 Liability Disclaimer
While we strive to create a safe and secure environment, SecretCon cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property that may occur during the Event. All participation is at your own risk. You enter the SecretCon venue WITH the following acknowledgement:
I acknowledge and fully understand that as a participant, I will be engaging in activities that involve risk of serious injury, including permanent disability and death, property loss and severe social and economic losses. These risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by: (a) the actions, inactions, or negligence of the organizers of the SecretCon Event, i.e., SecretCon LLC and its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, volunteers, contractors, and/or affiliates (collectively, “SecretCon”) and/or participants in the Event; (b) conditions of the premises or equipment used; (c) rules and regulations regarding the activities; (d) temperature; (e) weather; (f) condition of participants; (g) the widespread use by participants and by SecretCon of fire, pyrotechnics, flame effects, explosions, and other similar activities; (h) vehicular traffic, including but not limited to “vehicles,” and (i) air traffic that includes passenger aircraft and remote controlled aircraft (also known as “drones”). I further acknowledge and fully understand that there may also be other risks that are not known or foreseeable at this time. I KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISK OF PROPERTY LOSS, PERSONAL INJURY, SERIOUS INJURY, OR DEATH, WHICH MAY OCCUR BY ATTENDING SECRETCON EVENT(S), AND HEREBY FOREVER RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD SECRETCON HARMLESS FROM ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM SUCH RISK, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF SECRETCON, OR FROM THIRD PARTIES, AND I ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY FOR MY PARTICIPATION.
7.1 Disclaimer of Warranties
The Event and Platforms are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. SecretCon disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SecretCon and its affiliates, sponsors, employees, or contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, or incidental damages arising out of or in connection with the Event or your use of the Platforms.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SecretCon, its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, violation of the Code of Conduct, or misuse of the Platforms.
9.1 Governing Law
These Terms will be governed and interpreted by the laws of the state in which SecretCon is held, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
9.2 Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If these negotiations fail, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate state or federal courts in that venue.
SecretCon reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Event or the Platforms if you violate these Terms or engage in any conduct deemed unacceptable by SecretCon. No refund will be provided in such cases.
If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with any related policies referenced herein (e.g., Code of Conduct, Anti-Harassment Policy, Privacy Policy), constitute the entire agreement between you and SecretCon regarding your attendance and use of the Platforms, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.
